The puppet Phil Newsworthy characterizes an anchor news reporter that directs the Kids News Network program. He overviews the program's news. He is always interrupted by the Intern: Sally who admired him and is eager to participate.

Phil Newsworthy invites the audience to participate by sending drawings, emails, and videos to take part in the contests held in KNN.

The show has six educational segments: a musical animal/plant of the day, ecological, health, news, and a musical gym section.
Also, Phil the anchor reminds the audience to pay attention to the explanations given by the: animal of the day, the vegetable of the day, the botanist, the journalist, and the Doctor because during the program Phil Newsworthy will make some questions that young audience can answer through the show web www.knn.net, and win different prizes by learning while playing.
