About Second Chances
Four lives in different stages of recovery from addiction were put to the test when the world was upended by COVID-19.
“Second Chances”, is a documentary about The Portico Café, a nonprofit organization that helps people transition from addiction, homelessness, and incarceration to employment and reinsertion in society. I analyze how COVID-19 impacted the organization’s mission. This film debuted at the 2023 Gasparilla International Film Festival.
